Re-Embodiment in a Micro-Robotic System 1 Re-Embodiment of Honeybee Aggregation Behavior in an Artificial Micro-Robotic System

چکیده
In this paper we describe the re-embodiment of biological aggregation behavior of honeybees in Jasmine micro robots. The observed insect behavior, in the context of the insect’s sensor-actor system, is formalized as behavioral and motion-sensing meta-models. These meta-models are transformed into a sensoractor system of micro-robots by means of a sensors virtualization technique. This allows us to keep the efficiency and scalability of the bio-inspired approach. We also demonstrate the systematic character of this re-embodiment procedure on collective aggregation in real robotic swarm.

متن کاملGravity-Compensated Robust Control for Micro-Macro Space Manipulators During a Rest to Rest Maneuver
Many space applications require robotic manipulators which have large workspace and are capable of precise motion. Micro-macro manipulators are considered as the best solution to this demand. Such systems consist of a long flexible arm and a short rigid arm. Kinematic redundancy and presence of unactuated flexible degrees of freedom, makes it difficult to control micro-macro manipulators. This ...
متن کاملConceptual and Embodiment Design of Robotic Prototypes
Main advances in artificial intelligence robotics are algorithms, embodied in software on the level of application software. Low-level hardware programming, electronic and mechanics are the necessary basis to enable the implementation of newly developed algorithms. Complex autonomous systems are challenged by tasks that require fast reactions, resulting in high accelerations and forces. These s...
متن کاملDiscrete-time repetitive optimal control: Robotic manipulators
This paper proposes a discrete-time repetitive optimal control of electrically driven robotic manipulators using an uncertainty estimator. The proposed control method can be used for performing repetitive motion, which covers many industrial applications of robotic manipulators. This kind of control law is in the class of torque-based control in which the joint torques are generated by permanen...
